A former Hardin County man was indicted last week in Hardin Circuit Court on three counts of sexual abuse. One of those charges is tied to an alleged incident nearly 20 years ago.
Jeffery Diehl, 55, was indicted on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim younger than 12; and one count of first-degree sexual abuse. The charges are Class D felonies punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
The indictment alleges Diehl sexually abused two of his girlfriend’s relatives, one younger than 12, in Hardin County on or about Dec. 27, 2013.
