Mayor Mike Weaver thanked everyone for volunteering to help.

    Charlie and Dorothy Clem Fox will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary May 9, 2015. The open house will begin at noon and continue until 3 p.m. at Youngers Creek Baptist Church, 251 Youngers Creek Road, Elizabethtown.
    The couple was married on May 9, 1965, at Youngers Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. James Heard.

    The bride-to-be is a 1994 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Rank 1 in education administration. She is a school administrator in Christian County.

  • Fatal fire claims lives of two dogs

    The scene at her home of just a few months was just too much for Shaley Minton to take.

    Looking into the charred front door and seeing a shattered front window with waves of gray and black smoke filing out of it, she bent at her knees, a phone in her left hand, and wept.
