Countless cold chairs sit unoccupied in the classrooms of John Hardin High School. Fewer students walk through the halls, and those who do walk frantically, attempting to avoid face-to-face contact. A few even sport masks.
Fewer hands are raised and even fewer voices are heard here and in schools throughout Hardin County.
These are the grim affects of the H1N1 virus, more commonly referred to as swine flu.
