    Robinson announces birth of granddaughter

    Tammie Kerr-Robinson of Aldie, Va., announces the birth of a granddaughter, Jayla Marie Smith, on Nov. 5, 2008, at Norton Hospital.

    Parents are Ricky Smith and Anna Banister of Shepherdsville.

    Additional grandparents are Frank Smith of Elizabethtown and Tom and Donna Banister of Muldraugh.

  • Duvall graduates basic training

    DUVALL

    DUVALL. Airman 1st Class Jerry “J.T.” Duvall completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base on Oct. 9, 2008, in San Antonio.

    He is the son of Alfred and Lienna Priddy and the late Jerry Duvall. He is the grandson of Wes and Maryann Priddy, Tom Mowbray of Tullahoma, Tenn., and the late Kay Mowbray, Carolyn and Chuck Hawk of Leitchfield and Bill Duvall of Sunfish.

    He is a 2005 graduate of Central Hardin High School.

    Greg and Lana Riney Kunkel of Bowling Green announce the birth of a daughter, Caroline Marie, on Sept. 16, 2008. She weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 19 inches long.

  • Lucas named Lions Student of the Month

    Lion Patricia Zeitz, right, presented Terra Lucas to the Elizabethtown Lions Club at the Oct. 28 meeting. Terra received a plaque recognizing her as the club’s Elizabethtown High School October Student of the Month. Her school honors include participating in the Governor’s Scholar Program, 2008, being on the honor roll for all four years of high school, and scoring all distinguished on CORTS testing; she has participated in basketball and soccer, being on the Fifth Region All-Tournament Team 2007-08 and All District Team 2008.
