  • Abdullah White to get 45 years for 2011 murder

    Abdullah R. White of Radcliff, charged in the 2011 killing of Kristie L. Allen who was found dead inside a burglarized Buffalo residence, will be sentenced to 45 years in prison.

    The following marriage dissolutions have been granted in Hardin Circuit Court.

    Daniel Ralph Rogers II, 34, Lewisburg, North Carolina, and Kimberly Sue Krohn, 47, Elizabethtown. Married two years.

    Douglas Edward Cummins, 46, Cecilia, and Sherri Lee Cummins, 40, Hueysville. Married 15 years.

  • Garden Club of Elizabethtown has first meeting of 2015

    The Garden Club of Elizabethtown had its first meeting for 2015 on April 2 with approximately 30 members from Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Rineyville, Glendale and Hodgenville attending.
    Two new members, Jack Herrmann and Jerry Snyder, were welcomed.
    Betty Long, M.C. Meserve and Jackie Huffines were hostesses.

  • Communicare staff volunteers at Feeding America

    Employees from Communicare Inc. and some of their family members gather during a recent visit to Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland in Elizabethtown. The group spent a few hours packing bags of take-home food items to be used for the BackPack Program. This program, which supports more than 5,500 children each month, relies heavily on volunteer groups like this one.
