‘Mama Nem’ on stage this weekend

“Mama Nem,” a gospel play written by local authors, takes the stage Saturday at the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center.

The play’s author, Greg Campbell of Radcliff, said “Mama Nem” is a story that’s relateable for everyone.

“Although we come from different backgrounds, we all may face similar struggles,” he said. “The performance will allow the audience to be reminded that just because a person appears to have it all together on the outside, there may be plenty of rough patches inside.”

But, he said, when a family works together, they can be restored and hope follows.

“The story is one that will allow you to laugh, reflect on past experiences, shed tears and of course laugh some more,” he said.

The production, which was co-written by Cathy Campbell, is sponsored by Women with a Purpose.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20. The PAC is at 384 W.A. Jenkins Road and part of the John Hardin High School campus.
