The first wave of college students looking to serve their country as U.S. Army officers arrive Thursday for the start of the annual Leader’s Training Course, which marks its 48th anniversary this year.
In all, 1,500 men and women are expected to train at the post during the summer as part of the program. The first cluster of students begins in-processing Friday. The course will consist of seven groups of about 200 cadets each cycling through, with the last group graduating Aug. 11.
