4-H compact tractor champions named

  2008 Hardin County 4-H compact tractor champions include Orry Williams, Junior Division; Walton Grider, Senior Division and Jared Givan, Clover Division. Walton and Jared will have a chance to compete with other youths across the state at the Kentucky State Fair in August, where they will be tested on their driving skills and knowledge of small engines.

Part of the skills in the 4-H compact tractor driving contest included an individual’s ability to maneuver through an obstacle course, as well as being able to back to a small cart or wagon without hitting any of the objects in the course and with as little re-positioning as possible.
