Jeremy Nally, assistant meat manager at Kroger on Dolphin Drive, explains to 4-H livestock club members and their parents how to recognize different cuts of meat and what to look for in quality and price.
Jeremy Nally shows 4-H livestock club members that wholesale beef cuts are vacuumed sealed and shipped directly from the processing plant to Kroger, where they are sliced, trimmed and priced for their meat case. This provides consumers a fresh, safe product as compared to days when a ½ side of beef was cut and prepared for the meat case.
Hardin County 4-H Livestock Club members are grateful to Jeremy Nally at Kroger on Dolphin Drive for giving them a first-class tour of the meat department and a better understanding of some retail marketing techniques.
