The 2008 Kentucky Christian Writers Conference will be June 20-21 at Northside Baptist Church, 1800 Pear Orchard Road, Elizabethtown. Karen Moore Artl, who is well known to conference attendees, will present two keynote addresses – “Motivating the Muse” and “Knowing Your Audience” – on Friday. On Saturday she will present two workshops, – “Idea-to-Market Strategies” and “Supporting Roles: Agents/Publicists/Retailers” and one keynote “Networking and Persistence.” Other workshops for the weekend include Writing 101: How to Self-Edit, Songwriting in 3D, Photography, Breaking into Children’s Magazines, Stories that Sparkle, Creating Great Characters, What Superman and Batman Taught Me About Writing, Six Tips to Jump-Start Your Success in Writing Inspirational Fiction, Writing Skills for Christian Latino Writers and more. The purpose of the conference is to provide an annual interdenominational event to equip and encourage writers in their quest for publication. The conference will provide a safe environment where writers can discover their gifts and share their work.
