Fall is fast approaching. The leaves are just beginning to fall off the trees. The mums are blooming in our yard already. Many people are saying that they see signs of a hard winter coming. As you all know, every year I plead for snow. I am already hoping for a great snowy winter, but we have a few months to go before I can start wishing to much. BIRTHDAYS. The Glendale Christian Church’s Ladies Circle will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. REUNION. A Wooden reunion was held Aug. 17 in Upton. There was a potluck lunch and 59 people were in attendance. Potted plants were given to the oldest attendees, Nelda Wooden of Clarkson and Zelta Miller Colston. A gift also was given to the couple that traveled the longest distance to attend, Roe and Selena Pleyte were from Arizona. The youngest attendee was Tristan Berry. The younger crowd played cornhole and basketball while the others visited with each other. The reunion is held annually on the third Sunday in August. SUBMIT YOUR NEWS.
