Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer spoke Friday of the need to infuse youth into the farming industry because the average age of a farmer is increasing with time.
“It’s a dangerous occupation, but it’s the most vital,” Comer told a small group gathered at the Regional Postsecondary Education Center at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
