Akerses celebrate 50th anniversary

Larry and Alice Jenkins Akers of Sonora will celebrate their 50th anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. April 30, at First Baptist Church of Sonora.

They were married April 29, 1961, at First Baptist Church of Sonora by the Rev. Archie Allison.

Mr. Akers is retired from Trinity Trucking, and Mrs. Akers is a homemaker. They are members of First Baptist Church of Sonora.

They have three children, Ryan Akers and Alicia Reeves, both of Sonora, and Jay Akers of Versailles; and five grandchildren.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the celebration. The couple request no gifts, just cards with fond memories for sharing.
