Allegro Dance students take summer classes

During the summer break, the intermediate and advanced ballet dancers from Allegro Dance Theater asked to have extra ballet classes so that they can stay “in shape” over the summer. Many of the dancers had attended Summer Intensive programs after attending the intensive held at Allegro. Raven Farrell went to the University of Cincinnati for two weeks of intense ballet study. Rachel Laws went to the Louisville Ballet for three weeks of study, and Stephanie Howard went to the Governor’s School for the Arts held at Transylvania University for three weeks. Most of the dancers study each week with Dale Brannon, former principal dancer with the Louisville Ballet and the Stuttgart Ballet, Hannah Thomas, former principal ballet dancer and daughter to Helen Starr and Alun Jones(former Artistic and Assistant Ballet Directors for the Louisville Ballet), and Kathy Sawyer, former principal dancer with the Louisville Ballet. Allegro Dance Theater is located in Radcliff.
