The Hardin/LaRue office of the American Red Cross held its annual volunteer recognition on Oct. 5, at Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.
Eighty-two volunteers, staff and guests were treated to lunch and a gift of appreciation. Paul Beede, manager of Volunteer Services from the Louisville Area Chapter gave a speech on the Fun-damental Principles of Red Cross — humanity, impartiality, neutrality…unity — and the good work performed by the local Red Cross office.
