The Ancestral Trails Historical Society met in February where Chris Kolakowski of the Gen. George Patton Museum of Leadership gave a presentation on the past and future of the Patton Museum at Fort Knox. He said it was the third busiest Army museum in the world and is in the top 10 tourist sites in Kentucky. The museum includes collections of Army leaders from 1775 to the present and is open seven days a week. The next meeting of the Ancestral Trails Historical Society is March 2. Beverly Heath will discuss when LaRue County went dry, alcohol in a dry county and moonshine.
