Re-electing Obama is in America’s best interest

The remaining contestants seeking the Republican nomination for president are divided on some issues because of being forced to show Republican primary voters each one leans far more to the right than the other candidates. But Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are united in believing President Barack Obama should be a one-term president. They are also united in believing trickle-down economics is the best system their brand of capitalism has to offer. Trickle-down makes the rich richer, but doesn’t do much for the overwhelming majority of Americans who are experiencing hard times.

Try as they might, the candidates cannot relate to the middle class and poor majority. Their passion is for society’s most privileged, those who are most interested in using their riches to increase their wealth.

It is a rare conservative Republican, if there are any, who see a role compassion can play in government. None of the final Republican candidates would be a better president than Barack Obama. It is in America’s best interest to re-elect President Obama come November.
