Gilbert Layman Campbell
Gilbert Layman Campbell, 88, of Eastview, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 28, 1919, and was a retired construction worker and farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dora Richardson Campbell; two sons, Gilbert Ray Campbell and Roger Lee Campbell; six brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Campbell; five sons, Glenn Campbell and Luana, Arnold Campbell and Susan, Marty Campbell and Lisa and Robbie Campbell and Tiffany, all of Eastview, and James Earl Campbell of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Barbara Mattingly of Leitchfield and Sandra Peters and Scotty of Cecilia; seven granddaughters, Tracy Phoutharansy and Soun, Kayla Peters, Rachel Campbell, Janice Campbell, Savanaha Campbell, Sarah Campbell and Halie Campbell; a great-grandson, Tyler Phoutharansy; two sisters, Alice Wilkerson and Thelma Cundiff, both of Eastview; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at noon CDT at Summit Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. CDT today at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson.
Theresa Alice ‘Terry’ Ferguson
Theresa Alice “Terry” Ferguson, 54, of Glendale, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at her home.
Survivors include a son, Gregory Wayne Ferguson; and a daughter, Rhonda Lynn Ferguson.
Arrangements are incomplete at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove.
Tammy Kaye Freeman
Tammy Kaye Freeman, 47, of Melrose, Fla., died Sunday, April 20, 2008, in Gainesville, Fla.
She was a native of Hardin County and a former employee of Interlake in Shepherdsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Gene Benton.
Survivors include her husband, Steve M. Freeman; three children, Stephanie Meinikheim, Steven Freeman and Kyle Freeman; two brothers, Gene Benton and Donnie Benton; four sisters, Leslie Benton, Sandy Sims, Twyla Padgett and Donna Tanner; five grandchildren, John Wright Freeman, Kalyb VanWerven, Xavier Trujillo and Aiden and Bain Meinikheim; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Tammy.
A graveside service is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Browns Cemetery on Wooldridge Ferry Road.
