Representatives from across the county recently toured several industries in an effort to bring awareness of the importance of industry to Elizabethtown, as well as to showcase the clean environment that exists for careers in industry. The group toured Akebono, Mouser Custom Cabinetry, Metalsa and Dow Corning on April 14.
The group started with a welcome at ECTC followed by a school bus ride, compliments of Elizabethtown Independent Schools, to the four industries. Participants included Elizabethtown Mayor Tim Walker; Marty Fulkerson and Edna Burger, Elizabethtown City Council; Lisa Williams, Dwight Morgan, Bill Wiseman and E.G. Thompson, Hardin County Magistrates; Nanette Johnson , Hardin County Schools; Sherry Murphy, Elizabethtown Tourism; Steve Smallwood, B.J.
