Arrests made in funeral-hour home burglaries

Kentucky State Police has arrested at least two men in the burglary of Dennis and Cindy Higdon's home in Clarkson, Master Trooper Norman Chaffins said in a statement released Thursday afternoon. 

The Higdons were attending the funeral of their murdered son June 20 while their home was burglarized.

The men arrested have also been tied to a similar burglary in April in Sonora while the homeowner attended the funeral of her husband, Chaffins said.

The identities of the men arrested and what charges they face would not be released until KSP hosts a news conference at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Chaffins said.
