You might remember one of the devastating images of the 2008 Games. The event was the women’s 100-meter hurdles. U.S. hurdler Lolo Jones had a commanding lead but clipped the ninth hurdle, stumbled, fell on the track and finished seventh. It was a devastating turn of events. Her Olympic dreams came crashing down. Later, Jones would say she was thinking too much about technique as the race drew to a close.
