The 2012 Summer Olympics are in session, and the pressures have begun. This competition brings out the best and worst of world class athletes.
You might remember one of the devastating images of the 2008 Games. The event was the women’s 100-meter hurdles. U.S. hurdler Lolo Jones had a commanding lead but clipped the ninth hurdle, stumbled, fell on the track and finished seventh. It was a devastating turn of events. Her Olympic dreams came crashing down. Later, Jones would say she was thinking too much about technique as the race drew to a close.
