Sometimes, we think if we eat salads we are eating low fat and low calorie. Let’s take a look at where that thinking could be wrong.
If a salad has a lot of vegetables or fruits and very little else, then you are eating a healthy, lower-fat, lower-calorie salad. When you choose salads that are drenched in dressing, covered in meats and cheeses and heavily sprinkled with bacon bits, croutons or other crunchy treats, then you are lying to yourself. This is not a healthy salad.
