Eleven people were indicted last week in Hardin County, including two men accused of assault.

Gary W. Barbour, 24, is charged with second-degree assault after allegedly seriously injuring a woman in December.

Lynell Willis, 29, is charged with second-degree assault after allegedly injuring a woman in April. He also was indicted on charges of resisting arrest and terroristic threatening. According to the indictment, Willis allegedly threatened to spit on an officer while claiming he had AIDS.

An indictment is an allegation, not proof of guilt. A defendant is innocent until proven guilty.
