Atria Senior Living supports Warm Blessings

Atria Senior Living recognized veteran’s in a program on Veterans Day. In addition to a guest speake,r Linda Funk with the Warm Blessings Soup Kitchen was presented a donation of $1000 in support of the soup kitchen. Warm Blessings serves a hot meal each week night to anyone in need and has served a number of veterans in the community. Volunteers also deliver 25 meals each Monday and Thursday to seniors who are shut-in. Additionally blankets, sleeping bags and personal items are distributed regularly and bikes are given out to those with a job and needing transportation. Shower facilities and the use of the washer and dryer are available by appointment. Veterans and other residents at Atria are pictured as Cara Perry, engage life director makes the donation to Linda Funk, Warm Blessings Executive Board chair and program director.
