Sen. Barack Obama says that we should be talking about the “real issues.”  I agree. 

The most import issue of this election is energy independence.  As for the Iraq War, both parties will have us out of Iraq in two to three years.

As for the housing problem, it will correct itself in three to five years, even if we do nothing.

As for the economy, what happens with energy prices will have more of an effect on the economy than tax increases or decreases.
