Congress without character

When I think about what our Congress and Senate are and have been doing, certain characteristics come to mind: self-indulgent, self-important, self-aggrandizement and self-interest.

Characteristics such as honesty, integrity, duty and moral courage are woefully missing.

I believe many of our Congressmen and women and senators forget who employs them and pays for their very generous lifetime benefits normally afforded to CEOs of big business, who are fired by the board of directors if the CEO fails to perform.  We, as employers, are not effectively performing  our job.

It is important to stand up, speak up, demand action and challenge our legislators to accomplish what will make us a better country because it does not matter who gets the credit. Vote.

My 104-year-old aunt, in her great wisdom, always reminds her family to do what’s right because it’s the right thing to do.
