Hardin County Schools will start once again Tuesday. The children are excited to see all their friends, but apprehensive about their new teachers and homework. It is time to adjust our schedules and get back into the groove of the school year.

New Horizon Baptist Fellowship will host the Wayside Christian Mission today. The Glendale Christian Church’s Men’s Prayer Breakfast is at 7:45 a.m. today. The church will hold a Back-to-School Blast from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday for school age children. The Nifty Fifties also will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday. SOUTH HARDIN FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER. As you all know by now, the center helps many in the community. The need for summer clothing, especially underwear and panties for kid’s sizes 4-12, is becoming greater. The first day of school is Tuesday and there also is a need of backpacks and school supplies. If you would like to donate any items, please contact the center at 369-6238. Also, please keep in mind that there are other elementary schools in our district that also house resource centers. Please remember to donate or volunteer in your area. REUNION. The West Hardin High School Class of 1973 will have a reunion Sept. 20. The reunion will be held at West Hardin Middle School. The dinner and dance will begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per person.
