Nate Adcock has once again been demoted to Triple-A by the Kansas City Royals.
The former North Hardin High School star was sent down to Omaha after appearing in three games since being recalled earlier this month.
In nine games this season, Adcock has gone 0-3 with a 3.12 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP. Batters are hitting .307 off him, and he’s given up 31 hits with 13 strikeouts and 10 walks in 26 innings.
Adcock pitched Saturday and Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals. He allowed one hit and one walk Sunday as the Royals beat the Cardinals, 5-3 in 15 innings.
In corresponding moves, Kansas City placed infielder Chris Getz on the 15-day disabled list and recalled two pitchers – right-hander Louis Coleman and lefty Tommy Hottovy – from Omaha. Both pitchers were available for Monday’s series opener in Houston.
