Hardin County Judge-Executive Harry L. Berry presented the Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution with a local proclamation designating the month of November as “National American Indian Heritage Month.” Judge Executive Berry urged all citizens to observe the month of November with appropriate programs, ceremonies and activities to honor the .4 percent of the county’s population designated American Indian. The history and culture of our great nation have been significantly influenced by American Indians and indigenous peoples.
