On Sept. 17, Hardin County Judge-Executive Harry L Berry signed a proclamation proclaiming Sept. 17 through 23, 2012 as “Constitution Week” in Hardin County — a time to emphasize citizens’ responsibilities for protecting and defending the constitution, to recognize the constitution as the basis for American’s heritage and to encourage the study of historical events leading to its framing in September 1787 some 225 years ago. Members of the Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution were present for the signing.
