"Bicycle" pedals to top spot in art guild show

The News-Enterprise Artwork by Rebecca Mach titled “Bicycle” took first place in the Central Kentucky Art Guild Show and will be among the artwork on exhibit at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College through May 19.

Mach took the top honor for the art show, which is being held at the Morrison Gallery in the administration building at ECTC. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Entries were judged by local award-winning artist Rich Griendling.

Second place went to Elsie Hall for her artwork titled “Out of a Job.” Wes Kendall placed third with art titled “Sophia.” 

Other art recognitions were “The Cats” by Nona Atkisson, the Magnolia Bank Award; “Daylilly” by Doyle Goodman, the Preston Arts Center Award; “Maggie, the Fourth Generation” by Jeanie Enright, the Lincoln National Bank/Woodland Gallery Award; and “Architectural Indigestion” by Phyllis Blakeman, the Dick Blick Art Materials/CKAG Award.

The art show is open to the public.
