Kenneth Lee Dutschke, 62, faces a charge of first-degree sexual abuse. A Hardin County grand jury returned the indictment Friday.
An indictment is an allegation, not proof of guilt. The defendant is innocent until proven guilty.

Dutschke was arrested Aug. 18 after the girl’s mother reported a neighbor sexually abused her daughter, according to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a citation, the defendant placed his hand on the girl’s knee and attempted to move it upward.

During an interview with police, Dutschke admitted to the offense and told officers he had a “sexual fascination” with the girl and “wished that he was able to touch her,” according to the citation.

Dutschke is lodged at Hardin County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond.

He was scheduled to appear for arraignment Tuesday in Hardin Circuit Court.
