Septuagenarian dogs could tell young pups about the first Blessing of the Animals at St. Christopher Catholic Church.
Saturday marks the 10th anniversary in human years for the service.
The event falls near the Oct. 4 feast day for St. Francis of Assisi. Born Giovanni di Pietro di Bernadone, the Italian Catholic friar and preacher is now known as the patron saint of animals and the environment.
This year’s service begins at 10 a.m. in the church parking lot on South Wilson Road in Radcliff.
