BOYS' PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Elmore's late 3 lifts Bruins past Grayson County (12/05)

Senior Cody Elmore hit a 3-pointer with 14 seconds remaining to lift the Central Hardin Bruins to a 64-62 win over Grayson County on Tuesday night.

Elmore led the Bruins (2-1) with 17 points and five rebounds, while junior Matt Whitehouse added 15 points and four rebounds.

Senior Troy Squires chipped in with 10 points, 12 assists and six steals.

NORTH HARDIN 57, LOUISVILLE WESTERN 41. Six players scored seven or more points and the visiting Trojans (3-0) forced 30 turnovers.

Junior Khalil Rasheed led North Hardin with 11 points, four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal, while senior Ruben Gosa had 10 points and five steals. Senior Nick Lewis chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

Sophomore Tyronn King and senior Scotty Sterusky each scored seven points.

BOWLING GREEN 66, ELIZABETHTOWN 58. A 9-0 fourth-quarter run sparked the Purples past the visiting Panthers (1-1). Bowling Green turned a 46-44 deficit into a 53-46 lead with 3:39 remaining.

Junior Ja’Von Cotton paced Elizabethtown with 16 points, two steals, one assist and one rebound, while sophomore Zane Najdawi had 12 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and one assist.

Senior Chas Jones added 11 points, six rebounds and four steals, while junior Nic McDonald scored 10.

Senior Connor Williams added nine points and six rebounds for the Green Wave (1-2 overall, 1-0 district), who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Sophomore John Wilson added seven points, two assists and two steals.

Senior Kelton Ford had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds for LaRue County, while junior Kody Key-Close added nine points, nine rebounds and two assists.

Sophomore Caleb Sheffer chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
