Meade County had a chance to win in the closing seconds, but couldn’t pull it off for the second straight game.
Trailing by two with 5 seconds remaining, the Green Wave had the ball but couldn’t get off a shot and suffered a 67-65 loss Sunday afternoon at 11th District rival Breckinridge County.
Junior guard Zeb Wilson led the Green Wave (6-15, 3-2 district) with 25 points and two steals. Senior guard Bryce Garris recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while junior forward Charles Mattingly added eight points and five rebounds.
Meade County suffered a 64-63 home loss to Muhlenberg County on Jan. 19.
