BOYS' PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: North uses balanced attack to beat Taylor (01/13)

John Hardin tops Spencer

Four players scored in double figures as the North Hardin Trojans rolled to a 70-55 win over 5th Region rival Taylor County on Saturday.

Sophomore guard Tyronn King had 20 points and five assists, while senior guard Ruben Gosa chipped in with 15 points, five assists and two steals.

Junior guard Khalil Rasheed added 15 points and eight rebounds and senior guard Scotty Sterusky scored 12 for the Trojans (13-6), who led 29-14 after the first quarter.

Senior forward Tyler Landry had eight points and six rebounds.

HOPKINSVILLE UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS 58, MEADE COUNTY 43. The visiting Green Wave (6-12) trailed 37-20 at the half as they lost their second straight.

Senior guard Bryce Garris led Meade County with 14 points and two assists, while junior guard Luke Wilson chipped in with six points and five rebounds.

Sophomore guard John Wilson scored five points.

FORT KNOX 82, PARIS 43. Senior wing Rashaan Allen led four players in double figures with 21 points as the Eagles (4-10) won for the second time in three games.

Allen also had seven rebounds, while junior wing Michael Powell added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Junior guard Michael Armstead scored 11 and junior guard Tier Blanco 10 for Fort Knox, which led 48-13 at the half. Junior wing Xavier Luckey and junior guard Kyle Gibson each scored eight.

JOHN HARDIN 77, SPENCER COUNTY 63. Junior guard Patrick Anderson hit four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 23 points, leading the visiting Bulldogs (13-3) to their fifth straight win.

Senior forward Daveon Greene and junior forward Keon Williams each scored 19 for John Hardin, which led 36-30 at the half.

Sophomore guard Elijah Smith and senior forward Adryan Jackson each scored six.

NORTH HARDIN CHRISTIAN 81, HILLVIEW MICAH 55. Senior Carlos Jones had 19 points, 10 rebounds and two assists as the visiting Falcons (13-2) pulled away from MICAH.

Junior guard Michael Dial chipped in with 15 points and three steals, while freshman Juan Dozier added 12 points and five rebounds.

Freshman Joshua Jones and Chris Kerulis each scored 11 for North Hardin Christian, which trailed by four after the first quarter before outscoring MICAH 69-39 the rest of the way.
