LEXINGTON— As a sophomore, Adam Sandidge left the Kentucky Horse Park last November wanting more.
A 32nd-place finish at the KHSAA State Cross Country Championships wasn’t enough.
After his performance Saturday, Sandidge returned home happy yet wanting even more. The LaRue County junior finished fifth in the Class 2-A race, turning in the area’s top individual placing for either gender.
Sandidge, who was ranked second entering Saturday, covered the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes, 10.48 seconds.
