BOYS' PREP HOOPS ROUNDUP: LaRue County wins fifth straight (01/09)

Junior forward Caleb Sheffer scored 22 points and five others scored at least seven as the visiting LaRue County Hawks beat 5th Region foe Campbellsville, 66-49 on Wednesday.

Sheffer also had eight rebounds and two steals for LaRue County (9-5), which scored 25 points in the second quarter to turn a four-point deficit into a 37-24 lead at the half.

Junior guard Micah Wiseman scored 11, while senior forward Kody Key-Close had 10. Senior forward Tyler Howell chipped in with nine points, 11 rebounds and two steals.

Senior guard Thomas Harman had seven points and four assists, and freshman guard Cameron Dawson had seven points, three assists and two steals.
