The Panthers won their fifth consecutive region tournament title last year, but had to win it in a four-match playoff after finishing in a deadlock with Central Hardin.

Elizabethtown won the tiebreaker, 3-1. Elizabethtown coach Andrea Atcher and Central Hardin coach Jeff Crady stopped a match between Central Hardin’s Jacob Blevins and Elizabethtown’s Tony Gambrell since the title was already decided.
