A competency hearing was scheduled Tuesday for Erik John Buggeland, the man accused of killing his parents in September, in a court appearance.
A hearing is planned for 2 p.m. June 7. Buggeland’s mental health has been evaluated.
Bailiffs had Buggeland stand just a few steps into the courtroom, instead of taking him to the podium in front of District Judge Ken Howard. He fidgeted throughout the appearance and did not answer when Howard asked him to confirm his identity.
