The double-murder case against former Shepherdsville Road resident Erik J. Buggeland hit another snag Friday.
Buggeland was scheduled to appear before Hardin District Court Judge John Simcoe for a competency hearing to determine if he is fit to stand trial for the September killings of his parents, Terje and Margaret Buggeland, but the hearing has been moved to March 4. An official with the Hardin County Attorney’s office said Buggeland was unable to attend court Friday and would undergo additional evaluation.
