CANCELLATIONS: Radcliff events, Dickens among called off celebrations

The potential for hazardous travel conditions has forced the cancellation of various events:

- The Radcliff Christmas parade, and Christmas at the Cabins scheduled for Saturday have been cancelled. Radcliff spokesman Bryce Shumate said he didn't expect the events to be re-scehduled at this time.

- The annual Dickens of a Christmas in Vine Grove has been canceled for tonight.

In an announcement out of city hall, an email stated, "In the interest of public safety, and due to the inclement weather expected for today and this evening, the City of Vine Grove has cancelled the Dickens of a Christmas event scheduled for this evening.''

Saturday's events are still on schedule at this point.

Those events include:

All activities will take place at the Brown Street Education Center across the street from City Hall

8 a.m. Mrs. Claus arrives

8-10 a.m. Breakfast with Mrs. Claus, hosted by the Vine Grove Woman’s Club

Adults $5. Children ages 10 and under $3

11 a.m. Santa arrives by fire truck

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Art and Craft Vendors will display their wares.

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided.

- Also canceled tonight is the 113th Army Band Holiday Concert at the Hardin County Schools Performingn Arts Center

- Hodgenville Women's Club Christmas Home Tour scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled.
