A honeybee moves from bloom to bloom gathering pollen this past week from a canola field on Bacon Creek Road where a 20-acre field of winter hybrid canola grows on the C&J Stuecker Farm. The field of canola is the only one in Hardin County, part of a trial to see how the variety fares in the state, according to Scott Miller, regional field representative for Opti-Crop, a division of Miles Farm Supply. The crop is normally grown in the northern regions of the United States and Canada.
