Another month almost gone,  just two months until Christmas and only about a month until Thanksgiving. Everyone I talk to seems to feel as I do, this year practically has just flown by. But we have had some very beautiful days this week with temperatures up to 80.

SURVEY. If you are a patron of the Cecilia Post Office, you received a survey form to send back to help as to the decision as to whether the post office will be closed or remain open six hours instead of the eight hours as we have become accustomed to. We filled out and returned our form, hope you did yours. In addition to this survey, the postal service will meet at 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at the post office at 422 Federal Street in Cecilia to answer questions and provide additional information about POST Plan. At this meeting, local management will share the results of the survey, answer questions and solicit input regarding the time of the day the post office will be open. Although survey results will be known and shared, the postal service will not make a final decision regarding this office until after the public meeting. This will enable the postal service to obtain all community input and opinions from both the surveys and the meeting before making a final decision.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY. “A group becomes a team when each member is sure enough of himself and his contribution to praise the skills of the others.” — Norman Shidle

HELPFUL HINT. Is your shower head getting blocked with lime buildup? Put plain white vinegar in a strong plastic bag and fasten over the shower head overnight. Remove it the next morning and see the difference.
