The Cecilian Bank Supports Backpack Program

Don Wise, right, of The Cecilian Bank recently presented a check to Gary Miles, executive director for Feeding America, in support of the organization’s Backpack Program in Hardin County. According to Miles, without the program, 500 Hardin County school-aged children would have little or nothing to eat during a normal weekend. He said 15 kid-friendly grocery items are placed in a sack and that sack placed inside a child’s backpack Friday afternoon before they leave school. These items feed the child until they return to school on Monday.
