Central's state champions give us all Bruin pride

There they were, piling on each other in the infield of a baseball field that had become their home for the week. The Central Hardin High School baseball team was basking in the glow of a state title.

A squad that entered the season with high expectations, ended its most memorable season ever Saturday with a state championship in hand, routing Mercer County in the final, 21-2.

The win capped a 36-4 season for the Bruins, who faced an aggressive schedule in preparing for the postseason success.
