Charges upgraded to murder in death of Radcliff man's son

A Radcliff man pleaded not guilty this morning to upgraded charges of murder and first-degree criminal abuse in his 1-month-old son's death earlier this month.

Jarrod D. Davis, 23, was indicted Thursday on the new charges. Radcliff police originally arrested the father Jan. 16 for second-degree manslaughter.

Davis' son, Ja'Vion Davis, was found dead Jan. 15. According to the Hardin County Coroner, Ja'Vion died from multiple injuries, including blunt force trauma to the head.
