Charlie Carol Turner, 71, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He professed faith in Christ at an early age, was a Baptist in faith and attended Mount Zion Separate Baptist Church near Magnolia. A very avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, he was retired from Crucible Magnetics after more than 35 years of service and formerly worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Ellis Turner.
He is survived by a son, Billy (Tammy) Turner of Elizabethtown; his mother, Sopha Lee Turner of Magnolia; two sisters, Elvina (Ronnie) Marcum of Greensburg and Brenda (Lynn) Skaggs of Magnolia; and four grandchildren, Craig Turner, Ashleigh Turner, Emily Turner and Matthew Turner.
The funreal was Saturday, March 17, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Revs. Roger Pepper and Gerald Gardner officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Church Cemetery.
