Christmas parade deadline looms

Elizabethtown will be finalizing entries for its annual Christmas parade later this week.

Participants must submit applications by Saturday to be considered for the parade, which is set for Dec. 8 in downtown Elizabethtown.

Sarah Vaughn said the city had less than 20 entries as of Monday afternoon and will accept between 30 and 35 parade entries. Each entry will be evaluated for appropriateness, she said.

“It’s going very well,” she said of the application process. “(We) always encourage folks to be Christmas themed.”
